Mercom Corporation Awarded $500 Million Multiple Award Contract from the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center CharlestonPAWLEY ISLAND, S.C. — May 11, 2009 — Mercom Corporation announced today that it received a $500 million, five (5) year Multiple Award Contract (MAC) from The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic (SPAWARSYSCEN), Charleston. Mercom Corporation is one of 9 awardees that will consist of an Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Firm Fixed Price type contract for the procurement / lease of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Private Branch Exchange (PBX), Routers and Switches and related equipment and accessories. The purpose of this procurement is to provide SPAWARSYSCENs with rapid access to turnkey solutions to the warfighter with the objective of fostering improvement initiatives that include mission effectiveness, efficient utilization of resources, and volume discounts. Mercom provides the products and services required for information systems and networking infrastructures, including voice, video, data and security applications, for the commercial and public sector industries.
