Mercom Corporation is looking for a self motivated individual with an existing Top Secret Security Clearance to join our team as a Transport Engineer. The position includes designing, developing, and coordinating integrated security systems such as access control, alarm, and camera systems.
An ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications and training and generally has 6-9 years work experience. Applicants will possess and apply a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments in addition to planning and leading major technology assignments. This position requires the ability to evaluate performance results and recommend major changes affecting short-term project growth and success as well as function as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.

- Provides analysis, demonstration, and deployment of cyber-physical systems to enhance the security of critical infrastructure and the safety
- Provides digital hardware assessment, high-level systems analyses, modeling and simulation, systems engineering, and field deployments
- Establish credible technical and operational concepts by interacting with cross-functional teams and end users
- Responsible for ongoing support and maintenance, as well as continuous improvement, of security systems
- Creates support and end-user documentation for security systems
- Possesses in-depth knowledge of physical security standards
- Possesses understanding of key system drivers, including the threat/risk, performance metrics, and operational constraints
