Mercom is looking for self-motivated individuals to join our team as AV/VTC Installation Technicians. AV/VTC Technicians are responsible for installation and configuration of AV components including video and teleconferencing systems. Individuals must have knowledge of Crestron, AMX, Polycom and Tandberg as well as have the ability to upload and understand programming codes, read schematics and configure and trouble shoot AV/VTC equipment. 3-5 years of commercial experience is preferred.  Applicants must be able to pass a background check.

• Setup, test, troubleshoot, operate, and tear down AV + VTC systems.
• Responsible for fabricating and interconnecting racks and components both in house and on the job site.
• Service and Repair of Existing AV Systems.
• Management of onsite technicians.
• Continued training for technical advancements in the field.
• Willing and able to travel to job sites.
• Configure and implement Polycom and Tandberg Video Teleconferencing systems.
• Perform the implementation of AMX or Crestron Control systems.
• Understand and interpret floor plans and schematics.
• Ability to work independently but also be a team player.
• Interface with customers and management in a professional manner.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
