In January 2000, Mercom a privately held corporation was founded by siblings Stella and Larry Mercado with the vision of providing state of the art IT Products and Solutions to their customers. Mercom Corporation has been certified by the U.S. Small Business Administration as a Woman-Owned, 8(a), HUBZone and Small Disadvantaged Business concern.

In 2002, Stella and Larry established Mercom’s corporate headquarters in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, but relocated in 2005 to its current headquarters in Pawley’s Island, South Carolina due to exponential growth and constant operational expansion.

Mercom has been identified as one of the country’s fastest growing companies earning multiple industry awards and honors. In September of 2009, Mercom received the ISO 9001:2008 certification from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
